THE BILL EVANS MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Our good friend Brian Hennessey, an Evans scholar, was a close friend of Bill's from England, and is written about in Pettinger's Evans biography. His site has an extensive listing of materials in the phenomenal library he maintains -- interviews, recordings and so much more.

BILL EVANS -TIME REMEMBERED

A nice tribute site with a formidable bio done by a European cardiologist--a serious Evans fan from The Netherlands (!), with many Evans links of interest, artwork, pics, and some MIDI files. And it's all just been redesigned, with album covers listed by each record label, info on both Helen Keane and Gene Lees, sidemen pics and bios, and clever Piano Timelines, Evans, Jazz and Classical links and much more. . It is very impressive, so check it out!

DVD or VIDEO: "THE UNIVERSAL MIND OF BILL EVANS"

One incredible video or DVD (from 1966, featuring Bill playing "Star Eyes", "Very Early", "Time Remembered". etc.) with the pianist conversing with his brother, Harry Evans about jazz and classical music, teaching, approaches to learning jazz, and more . A landmark presentation that also briefly features Steve Allen.

THE BILL EVANS ORGANIZATION

The official site only has forums now -- a lot of feedback from Evans fans, news and discussions --but they are always interesting to check out --moderated by Bill's' son, film composer
Evan Evans.
